Pokémon Team Rocket Booster Box

While earlier Pokémon expansions focused primarily on well-known Trainers and their partners, the Pokémon Team Rocket Booster Box brought a completely new vibe to the Pokémon Trading Card Game. For the first time, the infamous Dark Pokémon—which were under Team Rocket’s influence—made their debut. Cards such as Dark Charizard, Dark Blastoise, Dark Dragonite, and Dark Raichu made this set instantly recognizable and gave it a unique look that is still beloved among collectors.

The combination of dark artwork, the Team Rocket storyline, and the introduction of the Dark Pokémon gives this vintage expansion a character all its own. As a result, the Team Rocket Booster Box clearly stands out from other Wizards of the Coast releases. Original sealed copies are becoming increasingly rare these days and are a valuable addition for collectors who want to expand their vintage Pokémon collection with one of the most iconic sets in the history of the Pokémon TCG.
