With more than 140 cards, 28 holographic Unown variants, and three of the most sought-after Gold Stars from the entire EX era—the Pokémon EX Unseen Forces Booster Box is, in every respect, a set of exceptional scope. As the tenth expansion in the EX series, it was released in August 2005 and put the spotlight squarely on the Johto region from Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. This marked the return of beloved second-generation Pokémon, including the three Johto starters—Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr—in both regular holographic and EX variants.
The absolute top cards are the Gold Star versions of the legendary beasts Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, which are considered among the most recognizable and valuable pulls from the entire EX series. In addition, the set includes impressive Pokémon-EX cards such as Lugia-EX—with a devastating Elemental Blast dealing 200 damage—Ho-Oh-EX, Espeon-EX, and Umbreon-EX, complemented by two Secret Rares: Rocket’s Persian-EX and Celebi-EX. A special addition is the 28 Unown cards, each represented by a letter of the alphabet plus the symbols “!” and “?”, all as Holo Rares. Each booster box contains 36 packs of 9 cards.
