Pokémon Battle Partners Booster Box

The Pokémon Battle Partners Booster Box (Japanese) is part of the Japanese SV9 Battle Partners expansion and brings the popular “Trainer’s Pokémon” concept back to the Pokémon TCG. The set was released on January 24, 2025, and pairs well-known Trainers with their own Pokémon, with a particular focus on N, Lillie, Iono, and Hop. Each booster box contains 30 booster packs, with 5 random Japanese cards per pack. The set includes, among others, N’s Zoroark ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex, and Hop’s Zacian ex, along with various other Pokémon from the same Trainers. This gives Battle Partners a highly recognizable theme that appeals to both video game fans and card collectors.

For collectors, Battle Partners offers an attractive selection of Art Rares (AR), Super Rares (SR), and Special Art Rares (SAR) that vividly depict the bond between Trainer and Pokémon. In particular, N’s Zoroark ex SAR, Lillie’s Clefairy ex SAR, Iono’s Bellibolt ex SAR, and Hop’s Zacian ex SAR are among the standout cards in the expansion. The Trainer cards themselves and various illustrations of their partner Pokémon also add a lot of variety to the set. Furthermore, the return of Trainer’s Pokémon after years of absence gives SV9 a special place within the Scarlet & Violet era. With 30 booster packs, the Japanese Battle Partners Booster Box offers plenty of fun right out of the box and is also an attractive sealed addition to a collection of Japanese Pokémon booster boxes.
