Pokémon Emerging Powers Booster Box

Two legendary groups are making their TCG debuts at the same time—the Swords of Justice and the Forces of Nature are stepping into the card arena for the first time with the Pokémon Black & White Emerging Powers Booster Box. Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion each bring their own fighting style to the table as the fierce trio of swords, while Tornadus and Thundurus, as forces of nature, infuse the set with their untamed energy. Both teams were completely new to players and collectors at the time of their release in August 2011.

The second expansion in the Black & White series contains 98 cards and, like some earlier English compilation sets, does not have a direct Japanese counterpart but consists of leftover cards from the Black Collection and White Collection, supplemented by the Battle Strength Decks. Tornadus and Thundurus appear as Full Art cards featuring the now-iconic artwork that covers the entire card. The set also introduced a new reverse holofoil design featuring energy symbols or a Poké Ball pattern visible across the entire card, and for the first time included QR codes in booster packs that allowed players to unlock digital cards in the Pokémon TCG Online. The four pack designs feature Tornadus, Cobalion, Braviary, and Darmanitan. Each booster box contains 36 packs of 10 cards. As a set in which five Legendary Pokémon debut simultaneously, a sealed Emerging Powers box offers a rare concentration of new Unova power.
