Pokémon Team Rocket Devastation Theme Deck

The Pokémon Team Rocket Devastation Theme Deck was released on April 24, 2000, and is a signature product from the early Wizards of the Coast era. The pre-constructed deck contains 60 cards and primarily combines Grass- and Water-type Pokémon, with Holo Dark Weezing as its key card. The fixed decklist also includes Koffing, Oddish, Dark Gloom, Squirtle, Dark Wartortle, Dark Vaporeon, and Eevee, among others. Trainer cards and a total of 28 Grass and Water Energy cards round out the deck. Devastation was released alongside Trouble as the two official Theme Decks of the Team Rocket expansion.

In addition to the card deck, the original Devastation Theme Deck packaging also includes damage counters, a rulebook, a Team Rocket card checklist, and the distinctive holographic Meowth coin that came with these Team Rocket Theme Decks. Even the names of both decks echo the famous motto of Jessie, James, and Meowth: “Trouble” refers to “prepare for trouble,” while “Devastation” comes from “to protect the world from devastation.” This strong connection to the classic animated series, combined with Dark Weezing and the recognizable Team Rocket design, makes a sealed copy a special collectible for fans of vintage Pokémon, Team Rocket, and original WOTC Theme Decks.
