The Pokémon EX Power Keepers Mightyena Theme Deck, officially titled *Dark Blast*, was released on February 14, 2007, as part of the EX Power Keepers expansion. The pre-constructed deck consists of 60 cards and combines Fire- and Darkness-type Pokémon, with Mightyena as its central focus. In addition to Poochyena and Mightyena, the decklist includes Charmander, Charmeleon, Torchic, Combusken, Zangoose, Delcatty, and Skitty. Of particular note is the Mightyena 18/108 in Cosmos Holofoil, a variant that was available exclusively through this Theme Deck. Sidney’s Stadium also ties directly into Mightyena, giving the deck a clear connection to Elite Four member Sidney from the Hoenn games.
Dark Blast originally came with the complete card deck, damage counters, a metal Pokémon coin, a rulebook/card list, and a single-player playmat. Together with the Dusclops-based Mind Game, Dark Blast formed the pair of Theme Decks from EX Power Keepers, the final expansion in the original EX Series. It is especially this position at the end of a beloved Pokémon era that gives the product extra collectible value today. The striking Mightyena packaging and deck-exclusive holographic card make a sealed copy a distinctive addition for collectors of Hoenn, vintage Pokémon, and EX Series Theme Decks.
