The Pokémon Black & White Samurott Theme Deck, officially released as Blue Assault, came out on April 6, 2011, and puts the Water-type starter from Unova firmly in the spotlight. The pre-built deck contains 60 cards and primarily combines Water- and Lightning-type Pokémon. The evolutionary line of Oshawott, Dewott, and Samurott forms the foundation, supplemented by Pokémon such as Simipour, Basculin, Swanna, Galvantula, and Unfezant. A special highlight for collectors is Samurott 31/114 in the Cracked Ice Holofoil version, a variant that was available exclusively through this Theme Deck.
Blue Assault, along with Green Tornado featuring Serperior and Red Frenzy featuring Emboar, forms a trio of Theme Decks centered around the fully evolved Unova starters. In addition to the ready-to-play deck, the box included damage counters, a Pokémon coin, a deck box, a card list, a double-sided playmat with game rules, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Online.
