Pokémon Black & White Emboar Theme Deck

The Pokémon Black & White Emboar Theme Deck, officially released as "Red Frenzy," came out on April 6, 2011, and—along with the first Black & White products—ushered in a new generation of the Pokémon TCG. The pre-constructed deck contains 60 cards and focuses primarily on Fire- and Fighting-type Pokémon. At its core is the complete evolutionary line of Tepig, Pignite, and Emboar, supplemented by Pokémon such as Simisear, Darmanitan, Stoutland, and Cinccino. Of particular interest to collectors is Emboar 19/114 in the Cracked Ice Holofoil version; both this holographic variant and the non-holo version of Emboar were exclusive to Red Frenzy.

Red Frenzy was released alongside Green Tornado featuring Serperior and Blue Assault featuring Samurott, meaning that together, the three Theme Decks represent the final evolutions of the Unova starters. In addition to the ready-to-play deck, the box included damage counters, a Pokémon coin, a deck box, a card list, and a double-sided playmat with rules. A code card was also included, allowing players to unlock the deck digitally in the Pokémon TCG Online Trainer Challenge at the time. With Emboar prominently featured on the packaging and its place at the beginning of the Black & White era, a sealed Red Frenzy Theme Deck is an attractive collectible for fans of Unova and older Pokémon TCG products.
